Cake and more cake

When I discovered blogging I thought I would save the money I spent on craft magazines, but I am still addicted to them. I can't resist the the covers with their hidden treasures inside waiting for me. There is no point in making a new years resolution to stop, better to make one that I will use some of the free gifts or ideas. So here are two cards one made using free stamps from docrafts Creativity issue 25. I have also wanted to make cards using the raw cardboard effect (don't know what you would call it) but could never source and stock, then when I wasn't looking for it,  I found a large pack of Papermania 5 x 7 card blanks. I hope you enjoy my cakes.

1st  cake is cut using Doodlecharms 4.25 inches, divine swirls embossing folder, free stamps for background.
2nd cake cut using Celebrations cut at 3 inches, universal embossing folder cupcakes craft concepts for background.

It's your day

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you all a Great Year ahead. I feel I have a lot of catching up to do, it was good to blog hop today and catch up with all your lovely work. With so many birthdays to plan for I need to get going again. Here are a couple of pictures of two cards I had made for my son and brother in law. I need to plan their cards for this year and thankfully have more cricut carts to choose from, although I didn't get any crafting goodies this Christmas! I am looking forward to the new carts due out next.

The first card I used an A4 sheet of acetate folded in half, the second one I folded an A4 sheet of card in halve cut the front and attached the acetate with eyelets.
Celebrations It's your day, I haven't kept a note on the size I cut. That's the great thing about having a blog as I have got better at making notes on cut sizes and cartridges used.

Toy story Lotso

This cartridge certainly arrived just in time for me to make family birthday cards. Here is the one I made for my youngest granddaughter. When we were out shopping I picked up some pink card, she suddenly shouted out "oh thats nice grandma" at the top of her voice so that was it, it just had to used for her card. Thanks to the ladies who left me lovely comments on my last post on Cricut MB.

Toy story I used design studio to create the base card. I duplicated flipped and welded the bear 7 inches, then hid the contours and cut. I did not use shadow. I then cut the bear added the layers and attached to the base card.
Celebrations balloons cut at 6.5 inches.
