It's your day

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you all a Great Year ahead. I feel I have a lot of catching up to do, it was good to blog hop today and catch up with all your lovely work. With so many birthdays to plan for I need to get going again. Here are a couple of pictures of two cards I had made for my son and brother in law. I need to plan their cards for this year and thankfully have more cricut carts to choose from, although I didn't get any crafting goodies this Christmas! I am looking forward to the new carts due out next.

The first card I used an A4 sheet of acetate folded in half, the second one I folded an A4 sheet of card in halve cut the front and attached the acetate with eyelets.
Celebrations It's your day, I haven't kept a note on the size I cut. That's the great thing about having a blog as I have got better at making notes on cut sizes and cartridges used.

Thanks for following my blog and the kind comments you
leave, they are what keep me going ox

Daisy fresh

Here is a card I made for a friends birthday. I stamped a daisy image onto acetate using cotton white staz on opaque. I cut the daisies using a punch and added adesive stones. I made the insert on the computer and layered it onto a shaped image cut with the cricut.

Celebrations at last

It is a great time for us celebrating the safe arrival of our grandson Thomas James 9lb 6oz, not bad for a baby that was predicted to be premature from week 18 of pregnancy! I have never seen such a big new born, it's been a very difficult time so a great result. Well done Mum and all the hospital Doctors that made it possible.

New arrival bottle 4.7inch 1 layer is acetate, booties 2.5inch, train 3inch, rattle 3.75inch.
little one 1.5inch with and without shadow. pins 1.5inch
Plantin schoolbook precious 1.25inch with and without shadow
Base card is A4, shaped buttons, adhesive pearls and feathered cord.

A box full of goodies, I could not resist the monkey, and of course with the world cup on its way every boy needs his kit.

Times gone by

The time certainly has gone by since I did my last post. I received my gypsy in the post three weeks ago and have spent every spare minute trying to overcome how to work it! So much lost crafting time I haven't so much as made a card! So here's another number 30 card I made in the past for my daughter in law. Posting older cards has made me aware of how my style of cards have changed.

I laminated the card used on the back page some items on the front are laminated and others added to the front with pop dots and glue. Plantin schoolbook was used to cut the numbers and frame. Pages were tied using raffia.

Here is another card I made using the same method.

Then she was seven

I folded an A3 size card in half cut most of the front away then attached an A4 sheet of acetate using balloon shaped brads. The font will have been cut using Plantin schoolbook and the cake, my favourite of the cricut cakes was cut using Doodlecharms. The stamped image inside reads - I have an attitude and  I'm not afraid to use it! Say no more!

Katie

It is my granddaughter's birthday this week and I am looking forward to giving her, her card. I cannot post it yet as she follows my posts and said she was going to look and see what I have made her. Here is a picture of a past card I made. I like using acetate but made this card by laminating the letters cut using Plantin schoolbook. I then cut the sheet into squares, applied various stickers and tied them togther using raffia.

On the road

Olivia's first birthday was shortly followed by Ben's. The Cars cartridge nearly led me to give up on my cricut. I had chosen Fillmore, cut at 4inch as my first project. Not to be recommended unless you have very good eyesight and loads of patience! I did achieve it but Fillmore is firmly fixed to my craft room wall and going no-where. I met a lady in my local craft shop and she was good enough to give me some tips, meeting her also led to me buying the Design Studio. The character on Ben's card is McQween2 I like to make cards using acetate I hope you like it.

Plantin school book all letters and numbers (I think number 1 is cut at 4inch)
Cars  road 6inch  amounted on the inside of the card and car 4.5inch mounted on front of card.
I cannot be certain of the sizes as I hadn't written them down, how silly is that. At least you get an idea.
