Summer blooms

Another easy 6 x 4 card, I needed a card with bright colours and tactile layers and was pleased with the result. I also added some glitter to give it a bit of sparkle. Life has been a bit hectic and I have not been all that well, just get over one thing and something else comes along but hopefully I can get back to my card making. It was rather funny today my 3 year old grandaughter Olivia went into my craft room and came out telling me it was very very messy, she then came and said she had tidied up my mess!
When I went into the room she had indeed picked up the sorted piles I had had on the floor and put all the items on to the shelves (not so sorted now), what can I say!

Every day paper dolls jug cut at 2.75 inches, Micky and friends flower .75 inches

Just love that duck

As grumpy as this duck is looking is as grumpy as I am feeling. My husband bought a new program for our computer and it is just causing me havoc. I am struggling to down load photo's from my camera and edit them. I daren't say how cross I am feeling, can't be published, it's a wonder the computer is still on the desk and not taken flying lessons through the window! Anyway here is the card I made for our youngest grandson who was one this weekend. I wanted to do Donald as I bought him the duck when he was born. I usually do shaped cards when doing the numbers and in some ways wished I stuck to my usual style but I liked the papers.
Mickey and friends Donald cut at5 inches, anchor 2.5 inches with two layers
Plantin schoolbook number 1 cut at 6.5 (I think) with and without shadow Thomas 1 inch with and without shadow, today .75 inch shadow layer only.

First Shaped album

I made this album for our 3 year old granddaughter Olivia. She has just had an operation and in is now in a hip spiker plaster. I wanted her to have pictures of the family to look at while she was in hospital. She is now home and taking the restraints of being all plastered up very well. She is pictured throughout the book and true to form the first thing she ate after her operation was toast. This is my first attempt at a shaped picture book. I chose Mickey as she had just spent a voucher before going into hospital buying Mickey to go with her Mini mouse.
There are three dogs in the family, that page was fun to do. I cut a westie in chipboard to make a book mark and also a doll. Once I had finished the book  I felt at a loss "what can I do now" I said to hubby,  his reply "housework" Oh horror I won't ask that one again LOL. I will now have to have fun making books for our other grandchildren

I used Design studio and Gypsy. The book is cut at 5.75 inches.
Cartridges used are
Plantin schoolbook, Accent essentials, Animal kingdom, Going places, New arrival, Everyday paper dolls, Create a critter, and of course Mickey and friends.

Mickey and Pluto

I have been busy making some more "B shaped cards", I will post a picture when I have one to share. Still on the theme of shaped cards here is one I made for my granddaughters 2nd birthday. I added the parcel to create a level base so the card would stand.

Mickey and friends Mickey and Pluto 9 inches,
parcel square cut at 3.25 inches. I typed the label then used the centre cut feature Storybook.
The base card was made using Design studio selecting  two copies of the shape flipping one and welding the two together, them mounting the layered shape onto the base card.
