First Shaped album

I made this album for our 3 year old granddaughter Olivia. She has just had an operation and in is now in a hip spiker plaster. I wanted her to have pictures of the family to look at while she was in hospital. She is now home and taking the restraints of being all plastered up very well. She is pictured throughout the book and true to form the first thing she ate after her operation was toast. This is my first attempt at a shaped picture book. I chose Mickey as she had just spent a voucher before going into hospital buying Mickey to go with her Mini mouse.
There are three dogs in the family, that page was fun to do. I cut a westie in chipboard to make a book mark and also a doll. Once I had finished the book  I felt at a loss "what can I do now" I said to hubby,  his reply "housework" Oh horror I won't ask that one again LOL. I will now have to have fun making books for our other grandchildren

I used Design studio and Gypsy. The book is cut at 5.75 inches.
Cartridges used are
Plantin schoolbook, Accent essentials, Animal kingdom, Going places, New arrival, Everyday paper dolls, Create a critter, and of course Mickey and friends.

Thanks for following my blog and the kind comments you
leave, they are what keep me going ox

Fairy wishes

This will be my first card challenge entry if I manage to make the link to thecraftbarnblog.blogspot.com/  shaped card. I am not very good with computers, it's amazing I've managed this far. I certainly get lost on facebook which my eldest son finds amusing. I made this card for our granddaughter Tayla's 10th birthday so I hope she enjoys seeing it online.

When I made this card I did not have Design studio or gypsy I just cut using the cricut and pieced everything together.
The back is just another number one attached and holding it all up.
Plantin schoolbook numbers cut 11.25 inches with and without shadow. I cannot remember what size I cut the wording birthday wishes
Paper doll dress up fairy is 6 inches, her dress is layered card and fancy vellum I gave her tights using the same vellum. The wand I cut a circle of vellum then cut it to the shape once I'd got all the letters on I needed.
Animal kingdom used to cut the dog.
I added the dog as she had a westie puppy.

Day dreaming

I have used this blackout cut of the cat alot, mostly just mounting the cat onto a blank white card. This picture makes me think of a kitten day dreaming in the garden about the yellow ball of wool he cann't reach to unravel and a sky full of birds.

Base card 6x6 inch
Animal kingdom cat 4.5 inch blackout x 2 layered
Doodlecharms sun 1.5 inch
Plantin schoolbook grass cut to length. I loaded the mat them moved blade in to the left about 2 inches then cut, I  then used the possitive and negative cuts to create the layers. The top layer of paper is mounted on card as it was to flimsy to layer on it's own.

From Great Grandad

I think this is my favourite of the baby cards because of the colours and beads, not bad for someone who doesn't like sewing on buttons and would rather buy a new shirt! I made it for my Dad to give. The card base is 12 x 12 folded and covered with srapbook paper. I chose the dog cut because they have a westie.

New arrival It's a boy 2.inch with and without shadow, boat 3.75inch blackout and 2 more cuts layered
Animal kingdom dog 2inch
