Owl day

I have always wanted to make a card using an owl, although I like the owl I'm not sure about the finished card. I'd wanted to leave empty space but now I want to fill it!
I used three different embossing folders and most of the cuts are pop dotted to create layers of the page.I made the card with my youngest son in mind, from a young age he has always liked owls and said he wanted a dog or an owl for Christmas last year, needless to say he didn't get either. lol Maybe his wife will get him one for his birthday, not so sure their cat would be very happy!

Create a critter Owl and branch cut twice at 2 inches. Every day paper dolls and Pooh and friends clouds. Indentz vine # 1, craft concepts woodgrain and cuttlebug D'vine swirls embossing folders.

Cake and more cake

When I discovered blogging I thought I would save the money I spent on craft magazines, but I am still addicted to them. I can't resist the the covers with their hidden treasures inside waiting for me. There is no point in making a new years resolution to stop, better to make one that I will use some of the free gifts or ideas. So here are two cards one made using free stamps from docrafts Creativity issue 25. I have also wanted to make cards using the raw cardboard effect (don't know what you would call it) but could never source and stock, then when I wasn't looking for it,  I found a large pack of Papermania 5 x 7 card blanks. I hope you enjoy my cakes.

1st  cake is cut using Doodlecharms 4.25 inches, divine swirls embossing folder, free stamps for background.
2nd cake cut using Celebrations cut at 3 inches, universal embossing folder cupcakes craft concepts for background.

Music to your ears

I loved how this card turned out as when I started it I didn't have a final picture in my mind at all. But the real reason I'm pleased is because I finally made a card using my gypsy and an embossing folder I have had for over a year and not used! Bet that sounds familiar for a lot of you. Now that I have made more things easier to get to in my craft room I expect I will be more inclined to use them. I still haven't used my Christmas present from last year, but that's more of a time issue. I also added a musical insert the same as the previous post.

Gypsy Smiley cards mp3 cut a 4.74 inches, Plantin schoolbook letters 1.75 inches, Lyrical letters music notes 1.5 inches, Bigshot Provo craft embossing folder Happy birthday. Base card A4 silver card folded.
