Music to your ears

I loved how this card turned out as when I started it I didn't have a final picture in my mind at all. But the real reason I'm pleased is because I finally made a card using my gypsy and an embossing folder I have had for over a year and not used! Bet that sounds familiar for a lot of you. Now that I have made more things easier to get to in my craft room I expect I will be more inclined to use them. I still haven't used my Christmas present from last year, but that's more of a time issue. I also added a musical insert the same as the previous post.

Gypsy Smiley cards mp3 cut a 4.74 inches, Plantin schoolbook letters 1.75 inches, Lyrical letters music notes 1.5 inches, Bigshot Provo craft embossing folder Happy birthday. Base card A4 silver card folded.

Tweet wishes

I have gone very plain for this card, sort of, less is more. I have made it before but not posted it so have included pictures of both. I first used the idea as part of a much bigger card I made for my granddaughter Katie's card with the pigs. The tweet bit is really inside as I have added a musical insert which plays happy birthday. I love the musical inserts it was fun to give, I have used two this week but haven't been able to source where to buy more. I will have to get internet searching. It has been good to do some cards. I have been so busy and tired lately I have not been able to spoil myself with card making time. I added some tiny black stones after taking the photo.

Home decor branch cut with and without shadow at 5 inches fit to length, bird 1.5 inches, Lyrical letters notes 1.25 inches. Computer font size 20, base card 6 x 6

More "B" cards

As promised here are some more of the same B shaped cards. It has been a bit hectic with three family birthdays this week so more cards to follow. Instructions for these are the same as the first one posted B is for birthday. The design works best with strong colours.

Mickey and Pluto

I have been busy making some more "B shaped cards", I will post a picture when I have one to share. Still on the theme of shaped cards here is one I made for my granddaughters 2nd birthday. I added the parcel to create a level base so the card would stand.

Mickey and friends Mickey and Pluto 9 inches,
parcel square cut at 3.25 inches. I typed the label then used the centre cut feature Storybook.
The base card was made using Design studio selecting  two copies of the shape flipping one and welding the two together, them mounting the layered shape onto the base card.
