From Great Grandad

I think this is my favourite of the baby cards because of the colours and beads, not bad for someone who doesn't like sewing on buttons and would rather buy a new shirt! I made it for my Dad to give. The card base is 12 x 12 folded and covered with srapbook paper. I chose the dog cut because they have a westie.

Celebrations at last

It is a great time for us celebrating the safe arrival of our grandson Thomas James 9lb 6oz, not bad for a baby that was predicted to be premature from week 18 of pregnancy! I have never seen such a big new born, it's been a very difficult time so a great result. Well done Mum and all the hospital Doctors that made it possible.

New arrival bottle 4.7inch 1 layer is acetate, booties 2.5inch, train 3inch, rattle 3.75inch.
little one 1.5inch with and without shadow. pins 1.5inch

Base card is A4, shaped buttons, adhesive pearls and feathered cord.

A box full of goodies, I could not resist the monkey, and of course with the world cup on its way every boy needs his kit.

Sweet pea

My first use of the gypsy, not because I used it to do anything fancy but I recorded what was in my mind's eye while I was away from home, then cut in the usual way. I planned it for a 6 x 6 card but when I found the papers in my stash that I wanted to use I put it onto an 8 x 8 card as I wanted the papers to be a prominent feature as well as the cut. I hope our friends like it.
Congratulations Angie and Richie on the arrival of your new baby Peter.

All cuts done on New Arrival sweet pea cut at 1.5inches with and without shadow, pea pod cut at 3.75inches. Hearts and pea's cut using a small punch

Times gone by

The time certainly has gone by since I did my last post. I received my gypsy in the post three weeks ago and have spent every spare minute trying to overcome how to work it! So much lost crafting time I haven't so much as made a card! So here's another number 30 card I made in the past for my daughter in law. Posting older cards has made me aware of how my style of cards have changed.

I laminated the card used on the back page some items on the front are laminated and others added to the front with pop dots and glue. Plantin schoolbook was used to cut the numbers and frame. Pages were tied using raffia.

Here is another card I made using the same method.
